CrossFit and HYROX at one gym: what to check before you join.
A gym can offer both programs without including both in the same membership. Before you pay for a second gym or book a travel drop-in, check the actual class access.
If you are searching for a CrossFit and HYROX gym near you, start with the timetable, not just the equipment photos. The useful question is whether the coaching, sessions, and access rules fit the training you want to do.
Some gyms advertise both programs. For example, South Loop Strength & Conditioning in Chicago lists CrossFit and HYROX among its group-class programs. That confirms a program offering, not that every plan or visitor pass covers every class. Ask the gym to confirm your exact access before booking.
Start with the right shortlist.
Use our CrossFit gym directory guide and HYROX training-club guide to explore options. Then check the gym's own program and booking pages. For official status, consult the CrossFit gym finder and HYROX training-club finder. A directory label is not a guarantee of today's schedule.
Start close to where you actually spend time: your home, office, or hotel. Compare two or three realistic options instead of collecting a long list of places you cannot reach before class. Our Chicago, Atlanta, and San Diego directories are useful starting points when those cities match your plans.
Seven questions before you commit.
- 1. Are both programs running now?Look for named CrossFit and HYROX sessions in the current schedule. Ask whether a HYROX session is a regular coached class, a seasonal race-prep block, or occasional open-gym training.
- 2. Does the plan cover both?Ask which classes are included, whether there is an add-on, and whether visits share a weekly or monthly allowance. An unlimited plan may still have exclusions. Get the answer in writing before buying.
- 3. Can you attend the actual class times?Map the sessions against work, travel, and rest days. Two programs on a website are not useful if the only available sessions conflict with your schedule. Ask about reservations, waiting lists, and cancellation windows.
- 4. What onboarding is required?Tell the gym your experience in each training style. Ask whether a consultation, fundamentals course, or movement assessment comes before joining a class. Experience in one format does not automatically satisfy another gym's visitor policy.
- 5. What can you use outside class?Ask about open-gym access and whether equipment or lanes can be used while a coached class is running. If you need a particular setup for your own plan, confirm it directly instead of inferring access from photos.
- 6. What happens when you travel?Check pauses, minimum terms, cancellation requirements, and whether any multi-location access actually applies to the location you will visit. A membership at one gym should not be assumed to work at unrelated affiliates.
- 7. Can you try the right session first?Ask about a suitable introductory visit or paid drop-in. Confirm the class type, booking steps, prerequisites, and total price. A trial should help you assess the coaching and schedule, not just the room.
One gym, two memberships, or occasional drop-ins?
Use your likely attendance, not an ideal month, to compare value. Divide the total cost of each option by the sessions you realistically expect to attend. Include required onboarding and add-ons in the comparison. Keep unused credits, expiry dates, commute time, and booking restrictions visible alongside the price.
There is no universal cheapest option. A lower monthly fee is not a saving if the sessions you want are excluded or impossible to reach. Conversely, a second full membership may not make sense when you only expect to use it a few times.

Hi, I will be in [city] from [dates]. I have [experience] and would like to attend [CrossFit / HYROX / both]. Which sessions welcome visitors, what prerequisites apply, and what is the total cost? Does your visitor pass cover both programs? Please send the booking link and cancellation policy. Thank you!

Does WodFind already offer a multi-gym membership?
Not yet. WodFind is currently a free, independent directory and guide site. We are researching a future pass for participating gyms, but there is no nationwide membership to buy and a listing does not mean a gym has agreed to accept one. For now, book and pay directly with the gym.
