Average Scores by Level
Amanda is one of the most technically demanding Girls. Both the muscle-up and squat snatch require significant skill and strength. It is not appropriate for beginners without significant scaling.
| Level | Time / Score | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Beginner | N/A | Significant scaling required |
| Intermediate | 15–25 min | Scaled MU, reduced weight |
| Advanced | 7–15 min | Rx or near-Rx |
| Elite | Sub 7 min | Unbroken muscle-up sets |
Scaling Options
Scale muscle-ups to 3 pull-ups + 3 dips per rep, or to bar muscle-ups. Scale the snatch weight significantly — the squat snatch at 135 lb is an advanced movement. 75-95 lb is more appropriate for intermediate athletes.
Strategy Tips
The round of 9 is where most athletes break. Muscle-ups require fresh shoulders — don't rush into them from the snatches. A short transition rest of 10-15 seconds before muscle-up sets pays dividends on the later rounds.
