Grace is pure speed and barbell cycling efficiency. 30 clean & jerks at 135/95 lb — the fastest athletes finish under 90 seconds. It rewards athletes who can cycle a barbell efficiently.

Scaling Options

Scale the weight to something you can cycle for sets of 5–10 at a time. If 135 lb is your 1-rep max power clean, go to 95 lb. The workout loses its purpose if you're doing singles from the start.

Strategy Tips

Touch-and-go reps are the key to a fast Grace. Work on your barbell cycling technique — the drop, catch, and re-dip rhythm. Intermediate athletes should aim for sets of 5-6 with short rests. Advanced athletes should try to go 10-10-10 or larger.
