Open 25.2
Open 25.2 tests skill progression under fatigue. The pulling movement and thruster load get harder while the reps decrease, so early restraint can be the difference between reaching the final bar and getting stuck.

The workout
- For time, 12-minute cap:
- 21 pull-ups, 42 double-unders, 21 thrusters
- 18 chest-to-bar pull-ups, 36 double-unders, 18 thrusters
- 15 bar muscle-ups, 30 double-unders, 15 thrusters
- Women: 65/75/85 lb; Men: 95/115/135 lb
Pacing strategy
Break the first pull-ups before grip fatigue becomes obvious. Use a repeatable double-under rhythm, then choose thruster sets that leave enough energy to advance to the next pulling skill.
Training version
Use jumping pull-ups, single-unders, or a lighter thruster ladder to preserve the progression. The goal is to keep moving into a more difficult variation rather than spending the entire workout at one station.
Compare scores carefully
Official scores depend on division, movement standards, and tie-break time. Use the official scorecard when recording a competitive result.
